41st Annual Antiques Show - May 25-27
Outstanding antiques from across the nation are featured at the Brandywine River
Museum Antiques Show. This event, hosted by the Museum Volunteers, presents a
variety of American and English furniture, glass, metalware, ceramics, folk art, quilts,
Oriental and European porcelain, rugs and other fine collectibles.
Peter Nero and the Philly Pops in Cape May, NJ - May 25
The concert is scheduled for 8 p.m., Saturday, May 25 and will run approximately two
hours with a 15-minute intermission.
Longwood Gardens' Fireworks & Fountains - May 25
Rocket Man, the Music of Elton John. "Rocket Man" is all about Sir Elton John!
Fountains and fireworks dance to the iconic pop star’s biggest hits including
"Philadelphia Freedom," "Candle in the Wind," "Rocket Man," and the electrifying
finale, "Saturday Night’s All Right for Fighting."
Bryn Mawr Twilight Concert: David Broza - May 25
The Bryn Mawr Twilight Concert series opens the 2013 season with Israeli
singer/songwriter David Broza. His charismatic and energetic performances have
brought to worldwide audiences, a fusion of the three different countries in which he
was raised: Israel, Spain and England, filling concert halls with flamenco-flavored
rhythmic and percussion techniques, whirlwind finger picking, and a signature rock
and roll sound.
The Marple American Legion Memorial Day Parade - May 27
The American Legion Marple Memorial Post 805 parade will kick off at 10:00 AM at
Malin Road and West Chester Pike in Broomall
Media Memorial Day Parade - May 27
Downtown Narberth, Corner of Forrest Ave and Haverford Ave.
The parade heads down State Street and will consist of local veterans and members
of community groups at 10:00 AM.
Ardmore Memorial Day Parade - May 27
Starting off at 9:45 AM with a performance by the Merion Concert Band at Lancaster and
Argyle Avenues, the parade will leave Greenfield Avenue at 10:30 a.m. and work its way
to St .Paul’s Cemetery for an 11:15 a.m. memorial service. Awards will be given for best-

The parade starts at 9:30 AM at Windsor and Conway Avenues, and the business district
on Haverford Avenue is the main suggested viewing area. Before the parade, Sweet

2nd Saturday Art Stroll in Media - June 8
On the 2nd Saturday of every month, over 30 businesses on and around State Street
in Media stay open late as part of a free arts event. From 6:00 to 9:00 pm, shops,
galleries and cafes host local musicians or display the work of local artists. Visitors can
stroll the friendly streets of Media and use M.A.C. 2nd Saturday map to find music, art
and participating shops.

Malvern Memorial Day Parade - June 2
Starting at 1:30 PM, the parade will follow King Street from the Malvern Fire Station west
to Warren Avenue, south to Monument Avenue and west to the end at Memorial Park.
The day also includes a 9 a.m. “Run for Freedom” 5-kilometer race, with proceeds going
toward the Chester County Hero Fund.
